Moto3™ World Championship with Red Bull KTM Tech3

Stepping up from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and FIM JuniorGP won’t be easy but with the team, the people around me as well as my own determination I believe we can have a decent rookie season. with FIM Junior GP &
Red Bull Rookies Cup
After a strong finish at the end of 2022, Jacob was pleased to continue his career in 2023 with Aspar Junior Team racing on the GasGas 250cc Moto 3 spec bike, alongside with racing Red Bull Rookies Cup on a KTM RC250 R 4 stroke for the second year.
Finishing top non european racer in both championships. Jacob managed to finish 5th in Red Bull Rookies Cup and 7th in FIM Junior GP amongst a sea of Spanish racers. An incredibly successful year for the young Australian racer who will now step into the Moto 3 World Championship.

Impressive 2nd place podium in Barcelona – after a successful weekend topping time sheets and qualifying in 2nd place by just 0.02 behind the leader who managed the slipstream, Jacob's impressive style and speed over this weekend shone through. Race 1 saw a second place podium achieved for himself and his team.
3rd
Another Rookies podium – after a 4th place in race 1 , Jacob backed it up with another Rookies podium finishing in 3rd after another impressive race and finishing just over 100ths of a second from the winner.
First front row start - Jacob manages to qualify on the front row in the hills of Mugello in Red Bull Rookies Cup.

Starting in Portimao Portugal in April, and ending in Aragon Spain in September. The Rookies Cup has released many new riders into the world of Grand Prix racing. Ex Rookies now compete with enormous success in all classes. For four of the last five seasons the Moto3 World Champion has been an ex Rookie

Career first podium in Red Bull Rookies Cup Jerez. Jacob took his first podium with a 2nd place after a hard fought battle throughout the race, leading at times. “I am happy that all the hard work is paying off and I was very confident going into Qualifying and the race. After 5 laps I was struggling a bit to stay with the lead group, I just decided to calm down, to hit my marks and I managed to catch back up. I miss a gear into the last corner and drifted wide but to grab my first podium feels so good”

Competing in the FIM Junior GP - Moto 3 Junior World Championship for the first time with Aspar Team Junior.

A podium in FIM Junior GP feels so good – Jacob started the season off in such a positive way in FIM Junior GP fighting hard in Estoril at round 1. Returning to Valencia circuit, one he has had success at before, it was a great weekend. “Its been a really positive start to the season so far and after finishing in 4th in race 1 I knew I could go better in race 2. Finishing in 2nd felt so good and such a reward to my team who work so hard every round.”

Started the season winning in Estoril Round 1 Race 1 and finished the season with two podiums - Race 1 P2 and Race 2 P3.

Whilst missing half the season due to Asia Talent Cup commitments, finished 8th overall with two wins, a 2nd and five top 5 finishes.

Three-time Australian dirt track champion

2018 Jacob was the Championship winner of the Australian 11 to under 13 yo 150cc big wheel title held at Kurri Kurri raceway. He was also runner up in the Australian 10 to 14 yo 80cc modified class.
2017 Australian dirt track champion for second year.
2016 takes out his first Australian dirt track championship in Gunnedah.
